On the occasion of international women’s day, we at Yuva Parivartan celebrated it with fun and laughter!

The women of YP are rather dashing and enterprising I must say.

The entire planning of the event for the special occasion was done with good communication and good coordination I could see.

The camaraderie amongst YPians was contagious and a good one.

All the women YPians gathered in the hall for the celebration and the excitement was palpable.

The cherry on top of the cake was the talk by Mrs. Mrinalini Kher.

Her very natural ability to connect with people, I think makes her the person she is.

Real stories, real experiences shared by Mrs. Kher were absolutely inspiring and motivating too.

Our special guest for the event was none other than Ms. Anjana, who has been a YP student and has learnt tailoring from YP’s tailoring course many years ago.

she is wheel chair bound and differently able, but I thought she was Extraordinarily able.

She has fought all odds of life, overcome all obstacles and has come out victorious and this was evident when she spoke from her heart and narrated her story- which was inspiring and hope giving to all the women present out there .

We saw in her, the will power to conquer and the“never give up attitude” and I truly believe that was the true takeaway from the event yesterday.

Sometime you read about inspiring stories and sometimes you get lucky to meet someone in person who is a HERO, a real life HERO.

Meeting Anjana was like meeting a real HERO.

Hats off to her fighting spirit and her passion for her work, that has given her the life she is living today, that of dignity and respect and above all, financial independence.

All the fun and interactions will remain in our hearts and minds forever and we will always be inspired to be the woman that we are!

It was truly a happy women’s day !
